CHARLES NEWIRTH served as co-producer on the runaway hit "Forrest Gump," which garnered six Academy Awards including Best Picture. He previously co-produced Barry Levinson's "Bugsy" and "Toys." He was associate producer on "Avalon" and "The Package" and was unit production manager on "Robocop" and "Throw Momma From the Train."

Born in New York, Newirth graduated from the film school at Ohio State University before undertaking graduate studies at New York University.

He began his career in the film industry as a location manager for such films as "Flashdance" and "Ferris Bueller's Day Off."
